When should I start my study abroad application?

For a September intake, that means beginning the summer of the previous year: test prep by June–August, applications submitted September–December, offers and funding January–March, visa April–July.

Scholarship deadlines are usually earlier than admission deadlines — often the first week of December or January. Missing them is the most expensive mistake in the whole timeline.

Universities with rolling admissions still fill popular courses early, so applying in the first round genuinely improves your odds and your accommodation options.
